Weels’n America

Hello guys

I’m planing a trip around US starting in Los Angeles where I currently live and  going East to Arizona. I want to visit as many places as I can as long as my savings last. I will be talking about each place I visit focusing on how pets are treated (Especially dogs) Where they can go with you, places they can stay, and so on. I will also be talking about how is to live and travel in a RV with my dogs.

I’m trying to sell my old RV (Update: already sold it yay!)  and my car before I go. I’d love to leave by the second week of June. I know it will be a challenge to drive a class A 30 ft RV and I will be looking for paved and large roads so to prevent “shaking” and”brushing” on things and other cars.

One of my dogs panics every time I turn the motor on and drive. I’m not sure why. He doesn’t do that in a car. Maybe in his head is like “how come my house is moving? Something really wrong is happening”. Pingo is a dachshund mix  and he is about 2.5 years old. He is a rescue from Brazil where we come from. He has been  with me in LA since last November  and despite his problem with his house moving,  he is very well adapted.

My other dog is a Chihuahua I adopted from a county pound about a month ago. Chiquito is about 7 years old and loves to be “glued” to me. Like most dogs he loves to go for walks and play in the dog park near us. He is fierce and mostly friendly when it comes to another dog but doesn’t allow humans he doesn’t know to pet him (much less pick him up).

Both dogs get along very well with sparks of jealousy because of me from time to time. Something that I discourage firmly.

I’ve been researching and preparing for this trip and I’m very excited about it. I’m the kind of person that needs challenges and to do different things to feel alive.

If you have suggestions on where to go,  how to get there and places to park my RV without emptying my bank account please let me know.

I will have more news soon..
